Clear night skies are rare to find to date. Fortunately, my home is located near a National Park in one of the darkest places in the Netherlands.
While it can be freezing cold at night, the skies are frequently mesmerizing. Night sky photography is technically challenging with normal camera gear: too long exposures give star trails, too high ISO gives noise and too short exposures lead to nothing.
